With over 35 years of diverse experience across government, private sector, and global consulting firms, Ali Abdelbagi is recognized as a trusted expert in zakat and tax compliance.

His career began in 1989 as a field inspector at the Sudan Chamber of Taxation , where he gained firsthand experience in assessments and direct collections—providing him with an in-depth understanding of regulatory systems from within. He worked also in banking sector.

He later assumed financial and administrative leadership roles in Yemen, overseeing operations in a company operating in Travel, tourism, shipping, transportation. 

He moved to Saudi Arabia and worked in companies operating in manufacturing, transportation and contracting.

In 2006, he joined Ernst & Young in Saudi Arabia, where he led complex zakat and tax engagements for over 14 years. His work included field audits, preparing technical objections, and representing clients before regulatory authorities, ultimately serving as Director of Zakat and Tax Services.
